3086 Cranberry Hwy, East Wareham, MA 02538 Featuring Louisa Stancioff. If Darlingside’s first album, Birds Say
Friday, Saturday & Sunday 9AM–5PM (2015), focused on the past through nostalgia, and their second,
Extralife (2018), contemplated uncertain futures, Fish Pond Fish
stands firmly in the present, looking at what’s here, now. Dave NOVEMBER 2022
(508) 524-6541 Senft (bass), Don Mitchell (guitar, banjo), Auyon Mukharji (violin,
mandolin), and Harris Paseltiner (cello, guitar) have created a
natural history in song—taking us into gardens, almond groves,
orchard rows, down to the ocean floor and under stars.
The band has long been praised for their harmonies and
intelligent songwriting, described by NPR as “exquisitely-
arranged, literary-minded, baroque folk-pop,” and their dynamic
presence (crowded tightly together onstage) have made them a
live-performance favorite.

“Smither is an American original – a product of the musical melting pot and
one of the absolute best singer-songwriters in the world.”
—Associated Press.
Featuring Grace Morrison. Born in Miami, during World War II, Chris
Smither grew up in New Orleans where he first started playing music
as a child. The son of a Tulane University professor, he was taught the
rudiments of instrumentation by his uncle on his mother’s ukulele.
“Uncle Howard,” Smither says, “showed me that if you knew three
chords, you could play a lot of the songs you heard on the radio. And if
you knew four chords, you could pretty much rule the world.” With
Many Factory Sealed LP’s, Near Mint 45’s, 78 RPM Records that bit of knowledge under his belt, he was hooked. “I’d loved acoustic
music – specifically the blues – ever since I first heard Lightnin’
Hopkins’ Blues In My Bottle album. I couldn’t believe the sound Hopkins
Most Excellent got. At first I thought it was two guys playing guitar. My style, to a
degree, came out of trying to imitate that sound I heard.”

When you’ve fronted one of the most trailblazing groups of the
MTV generation, written a stable of Billboard charting singles,
filled arenas all the world over, said goodbye at the peak of it all,
took stock in a thriving solo career, got the band back together for
yet another record breaking run and even took a stint co-leading
one of the most legendary classic rock acts ever, then you
undoubtedly have a story to share. But there’s still much more to
Michael Sweet than selling over eight million albums in Stryper or
singing and guitar slinging for Boston, including an equally riveting
behind the scenes story packed to the brim with triumph,
heartbreak and redemption. Musically speaking, Sweet is coming
off yet another creative high in the Stryper camp thanks to their
return to form record No More Hell To Pay. Besides making an
instantaneous Top 40 debut on the Billboard 200, it landed at #2
on the Top Christian Albums charts, #3 on Top Hard Rock Albums
and #6 on Top Rock Albums. It’s certainly a testament to the
band’s perseverance, whetting the public’s appetite all the more
for solo music from Sweet.
